❤️ Paris is magical but around Christmas time it is even more special!

This Christmas we flew to Paris and than took the train to Cannes, here are my suggestions and ideas.

1- I personally love the 1rst Arrondissement (St Honoré side).

It is easy with kids, the Parc des Tuilleries is beautiful, the fair is great at Christmas. This area is full of cute Brasseries, and french cafés you don't want to miss. (La Coupe D'Or, Angelina, Ladurée, Le Pain Quotidien, Café Kitsuné etc...). Place Vendôme is also a must see such as the Louvre.

Finally shopping rue Saint Honoré is great. Two of the most famous department stores in Paris: Les Galleries Lafayettes and Le Printemps Haussmann are close by as well (8th Arrondissement, it gets VERY crowded!).

All this will keep you busy for Day 1 in Paris! We love to walk and feel a city but the subway or taxi is also an option. Finally, pay attention to your bag and pickpockets especially during the holidays.

2- On day 2 you could walk to the left bank: Saint Germain des Près starting from the Parc des Tuileries. Cross the bridge (Stunning view) and walk  to ''Rue du Bac'' which will bring you straight to the ''Bon Marché'' the best department store in Paris. This walk is pleasant with lots of cute boutiques, bakeries etc... Right across from Le Bon Marché is the most beautiful grocery store, a must see!

Paris is full of beautiful Museums but my favorite is Orsay which is close by. (or keep it for another day!)

For a real hot chocolate with French Chantilly and the movie representation you should have lunch at ''Les Deux Magots'' or ''Café de Flore'' they are next to each other and very similar! Read about their history it is beautiful.

3-You can't go to Paris without seeing ''La Tour Eiffel'', the best spot to see it is at the ''Trocadéro'' going at night is really special.

Should you go during the day, you can have a coffee at ''Carette'' a famous coffee shop. The the best strawberries and chantilly!

4- Les Marais, 4th arrondissement a cute and trendy neighborhood filled with boutiques. ''Place des Vosges'' is a must see and ideal for a casual lunch. Rue des Rosiers is popular for their jewish bakeries and along the walk you can find lots of ice cream stores, crêpes etc...

All of these activities will keep you busy for a full 3 or 4 days in Paris. There is so much more to share but I am trying to keep it simple and not too overwhelming.

Traveling to other parts of France or even Europe is easy by plane, train or car. From Paris we took the train to Cannes (5 hours) which is in the South of France and a very different scenary.

I will share this in Part 2 Coming soon! 😃
